Demographic analysis
- The findings of the study indicates that youth involvement (48.3%) in agricultural activities is prevalent in the project areas.
- Male participation in agricultural commercialization is higher than female participation in the study area.
- The educational status of the surveyed people is poor compared to standard level in the study area where 45.2% only can signature or they have signature knowledge only.
- About 92.9% are married while 0.3% are divorcee and 0.6% are widowed in the surveyed areas.
- It is seen that 51.1% families have 5 to 7 members which indicating large family size is existed in the study area.
- It is also seen that 66.9% of the respondent’s occupation is day labor or sell their labor for monetary exchanges.
- Study finds that 53.7% of the respondents earn below one lac taka indicating low level of economic conditions of the surveyed people in terms of yearly income in the study areas.
- Study finds that major gap of knowledge about nutritious foods among the respondents while 39.8% have no idea and clear concepts about it. It is also found that almost of them do not consume nutritious food items daily.
- It is found that a vast number of respondents do not consume regularly Grains, roots, tubers or potatoes, Beans/Pulses, Nuts and Seeds, Milk and Milk Products, Fish, Meat, Egg, Green Vegetables, Vegetables rich in Vitamin A (Red leafy greens, sweet pumpkin, cabbage, etc.), Other Vegetable, and Fruits. They consume randomly or occasionally the abovementioned food items.
- About 40.7% of the respondents have opined that the family members are suffering nutritional nutrients that resulting in nutritional deficiency among the body of the respondents.
- It is seen that 32.8% of the respondents give priority of children in taking nutritional food items while rest of respondents distribute equally.
- The most of the respondents do not aware about nutritional deficiency and malnutrition among family members in the study area while only 11.6% have not suffered nutritional deficiency and 9.9% have not suffering malnutrition.
Factory owner data analysis
- Labor is the main force to operate the factory or enterprise. In this study, it is seen that 4.8% of the factory owners have labor force in their factories.
- It is found that 4.2% of the factory owners have 2 to 4 workers in their factories.
- Major portion of the factory owners have opined that they have achieved moderately (less 20%) increased of their profit in the study area.
- About two-third of the factory owners have perceived that the Cost of production increased and price of goods decreased.
- It is found that 5.9% of all respondents have provided an optimistic opinion on their expectations regarding the sale of manufacturing items.
- In addition, 5.9% of respondents stated that they do not anticipate any changes to the employment climate at their factory.
- It is seen that 3.1% have shrunk in their operation as a factory.
- Perception about the local agricultural market indicates that out of all 354 respondents, approximately 4.5% of participants expressed their production and sales have increased.
- Among all the respondents 7.3% respondents has positively opined that the profit has increased.
- It is seen that 2.3% has Taken initiatives for safe production through factory mechanization through Quarterly meetings with importers, dealers, mechanics, entrepreneurs, artisans, lab representatives and certifying.
- It is seen that 4.5% of the total 354 respondents had a negative opinion about Testing of quality in accredited laboratories.
- It is seen that 3.4% has positively opined that working expert in product recipe development formation.
- Just over 2 percent of the participants have come forward to say that they have acknowledged receiving certificates.
- It was discovered in our field research that receiving grant money for obtaining a certificate was positively responded to by 0.3% of respondents.
- More than 5.6% of the participants out of the total pool of 354 respondents have indicated that they are interested in getting BSTI, ISO, and HACCP certificates.

- In the field report that we conducted, we found that there were a variety of methods utilized for the processing of agricultural products that were both graded and safe to consume via contract farming.
- When it was surveyed on cost level of using modern technology in processing, it was revealed high cost contains 5.3% of the total participants.
- The use of more current technology has resulted in fluctuations in the cost of processing, which implies that overall production costs have increased by around 6.5%.
- In addition, the percentage of incensement increased by around 4% whenever the processing cost climbed from 41% to 60%.

- It is found that all the factory owners do not have knowledge about Good Manufacturing Practice in their factories in the study areas.
- In addition, regarding awareness about environmentally friendly processing, about 4.8% of respondents agreed to awareness about environmentally friendly processing.
- Study finds that 4.8% answer that environment friendly ways has increased the processing expenditures.
